new wharf hall cinnamon challenge (by Duncan Ainsworth)
This video was filmed in freshers week at the end of September 2012, it’s feels absolutely ages ago, but in fact is only about 7 months ago. That was a fairly decent week, but the months since then have been awesome. I can’t wait to live with these guys next year it should be another excellent experience.

Going to try coding for the summer
Seeing as I’ve been learning a coding language this year, I think it would be a decent idea to look for coding jobs over the summer. I’ve been learning C so it wouldn’t be anything major although learning a second language wouldn’t be a massive push to do…

My first year at uni
So bar exams, I’ve finished my first year at university and I have to say I’ve really enjoyed it overall. Settling in wasn’t too bad once I got in to the routine of things and worked out where everything was, it was pretty much straight forward. I think since coming to uni I’ve only had one panic attack so that’s pretty good and it was in freshers week so at least I got it out of the way early.
The major factor that I thought was going to be a problem was my depression. I wasn’t sure how I was going to cope with it. I have to admit I have had times during the last seven months where it has been a struggle. Luckily support at university is better at any time during your education so the support structure has been in place.
Also the key thing that has helped me here have been the friends that I have made. Although I might not have told them, they have been a great positive for me and if weren’t for them I probably struggled more here. To feel a part of something such as a social group or just being included has been an up-lifter for me. Also to be accepted for who I am has been awesome and has made being social all that easier
So hopefully here’s to a good second year and may all the good things keep on going on and on. I truly hope next year will be more awesome than this one.

yes to a certain extent, I mean Aguero and Kompany need to stay and whenever Toure goes away for the African cup of nations we have a wobble, there is a but though. My main problem is that Toure was only any sort of quality when he was played in the right position or when he could be bothered. Yesterday was a prime example, he didn’t seem to want to play yesterday and started throwing strops when things didn’t go his way.

Wigan deserved to win yeseterday
Any man city fan tells you otherwise, they’re lying. The city players looked so dis-interested, like it was just a training game. Wigan seemed to want it more and were better than city all over the field. I know all the media attention at the moment is on whether or not mancini will stay, but I wan’t to raise what I think is a more important point, that is I think there has been a serious drop in quality in key players this season, most notably has got to be Joe Hart he has made far too many “uncharacteristic mistakes” this season for them too be uncharacteristic I hope city learn a serious lesson from this and that is to respect and play hard against all teams not just the big four, teams like Wigan have always proven to be tough to beat and that’s why I respect them. All there is left to say is congratulations to Wigan you deserved it.

I can’t believe the Mancini rumours
There are rumours that Roberto Mancini might be sacked as manager of Man City. Can I just point out how ridiculous it would be to sack him. I mean with him as manager, city have won an FA cup, the Premier League and have gone in to another FA cup final. Not only that but three years in a row city have qualified for the champions league. Under Mancini city have made great progress and that is partly what long term success is built upon making progress over time. Success is not instantaneous, it takes time and we shouldn’t just expect to get brilliant results all the time.

Wembley tomorrow
Later today I go to my dad’s house so that we can go down to London to FA cup final tomorrow. Hopefully it should be a great day and a good game at least. I think we should win it, hopefully there won’t be any of the usual “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory” that city can usually get up to.
On the season as a whole, I think it’s been a fairly decent season. I mean even five years ago if you had offered second in the premier league, a FA cup final place and a third consecutive year of champions league qualification, never mind winning the FA cup and Premier League the 2 seasons previous, I would probably bitten your hand off. I don’t see how anyone can be disappointed with our season overall, yes it wasn’t perfect but it was still very, very good. I am still and always will be a proud man city fan.
